Job Summary

This position requires driving a District-owned van (or car) to safely transport students of all grade levels in TK-12 to and from school in the mornings. May also include driving to non-public school programs, field trips, athletic activities, and other special trips. This person must ensure the safety of students during transport, and that the District safety rules/code of conduct are followed with all behavioral problems reported to the school principal. This person must also ensure that the vehicle is in a safe operating condition at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Transport students safely and efficiently to and from school and other designated locations.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues to the District.
  • Follow District safety rules and code of conduct, and report any behavioral problems to the school principal.
  • Participate in initial and random drug and alcohol testing, as required by the District.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and school staff.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a driver capacity.
  • A valid California Class C or higher driver's license.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certifications.
  • A clean DMV driving record.
