About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proton Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic team at Inova Health System. As a key member of our radiation therapy department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treatment Planning and Delivery: Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring accurate and effective delivery of radiation therapy.
  • Patient Care and Education: Provide exceptional patient care, educating patients and families on treatment options, side effects, and post-treatment care.
  • Treatment Modalities and Protocols: Develop and maintain expertise in various treatment modalities, including linear accelerators and patient simulation.
  • Quality Assurance and Safety: Participate in quality assurance activities, ensuring the safe and effective operation of equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with patients, families, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or Certification, with a strong foundation in radiation oncology principles and practices.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience as a Staff Therapist in a Radiation Therapy department, with expertise in linear accelerators and patient simulation.
  • Licensure and Registration: American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification required upon start, with a valid VA license highly preferred.
