Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Bronson Healthcare. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting radiologists during special invasive and non-invasive radiographic scans, performing a diverse range of diagnostic radiology work on a wide variety of patients.
Responsibilities- Assist radiologists during special procedure studies, such as angiograms and vena cavagrams, to provide optimal diagnostic radiology examinations.
- Perform computerized tomography (CT) scans on any and all parts of the body as ordered by physicians.
- Operate highly sophisticated electronic equipment during exams, observing patient vital signs and other pertinent data, and anticipating the needs of radiologists.
- Administer or assist in the administration of contrast media under the direction of radiologists.
- Work as a radiologic technologist in other radiology sections as workload requires.
- Perform maintenance and quality control work on equipment, and immediately report any malfunctions or necessary adjustments.
- Provide first aid as required, and assist in cases of adverse reaction to contrast media or other emergencies.
- Maintain cleanliness of procedure rooms and equipment, and observe and practice sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient and file information, and demonstrate or oversee on-the-job training for student technologists and other non-professional assistants as assigned.
- Associate's degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered ARRT (R) upon hire, with ARRT CT certification within 15 months from hire date.
- Registered ARRT (NM) or NMTCB, with ARRT CT certification within 15 months from hire date.
- Advanced certification in CT, attempted to be completed at 12 months, and completed at no longer than 15 months from date of employment.
- Successful completion of requirements for orientation, including Hospital, Core, and Department-specific orientation.
- BLS required within 6 months after hire.
This position involves considerable standing or walking, regular lifting of light-weight objects (i.e., 20 pounds or less), and assisting with heavier tasks such as assisting in lifting and moving patients. Minor straining or fatiguing positions must be assumed, and some fatiguing physical motions are required.
BenefitsBronson Healthcare offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.00 for external candidates, and a retention bonus of $5,000.00 for external candidates. This position is a 12-hour night shift, with 36 scheduled weekly hours.
