We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead - Direct Service Professional to join our team at Turning Point of Central California, Inc. This role requires a highly skilled and compassionate professional to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide high-quality direct care services to our residents.

As a member of our care team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment that fosters growth, empowerment, and happiness. You will work closely with our Program Director and other team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, conduct daily living skills sessions, and facilitate re-socialization activity groups.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the accomplishment of treatment plans for residents, ensuring seamless coordination with the Program Director and other care team members.
  2. Maintain accurate and comprehensive case recording documentation, adhering to agency and contract guidelines.
  3. Transport patients to medical appointments and laboratory tests, prioritizing safety and comfort.
  4. Ensure compliance with Title 17 and Title 22 Regulations, upholding our commitment to quality care.
  5. Supervise and guide Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) during shifts, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  6. Conduct daily living skills sessions and re-socialization activity groups as specified in individualized plans.
  7. Administer resident medication according to established protocols and consult with healthcare professionals as needed.
  8. Attend regular supervision meetings with the Program Director, job-related conferences, and in-service trainings to stay updated on best practices and industry developments.
  9. Promote resident participation in treatment activities, encouraging self-reliance and empowerment.
  10. Monitor residents' physical condition and behavior, reporting significant changes to the Program Director.
  11. Respond promptly to emergency health situations, applying first aid training and emergency procedures as required.

Essential Qualifications

  1. High School diploma plus 18 college units in social services, healthcare, education, or a related field.
  2. At least one year of prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  3. One of the following certifications: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), or Qualified Behavior Modification Professional (QBMP).
  4. Meet the minimum age requirement of 21, as mandated by California Health & Safety Code Section 1562.
  5. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  6. Able to write clear and concise progress reports for treatment documentation.
  7. Complete RBT Training and certification within 60 days of employment and maintain throughout employment.
  8. Certified in CPR/First Aid (including hands-on procedures) prior to providing direct client care and renewed annually.
  9. Ability to work effectively with diverse ethnic, religious, socio-economical, and professional groups.
  10. Valid driver's license and access to a dependable means of transportation, properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws.
  11. Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment physical, drug screen, general physical, and TB test.
