Overview

The University of New Mexico - Hospitals seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join its Family Medicine Inpatient team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Description

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required
  • Implementing and documenting individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching
  • Assisting with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained
  • Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with Hospital standards
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A nationally accredited nursing graduate degree or equivalent
  • No minimum experience required, but prior experience in a similar setting is preferred
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification, obtainable within 30 days of hire
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or a reciprocal agreement state
