About the Role

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Applied Research Laboratories, you will play a crucial role in advancing and improving internally developed systems vital to our business operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality, performant code for business information systems.
  • Participate in all aspects of software development life cycle, including design, coding, testing, bug fixing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other software engineers and participate in meetings.
  • Research solutions to client questions about data, reports, and applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent degree.
  • 6 months of full-time programming experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional experience in required areas.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining business information systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design, development, and testing of custom applications.
