Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage hourly team members to ensure exceptional guest experiences and high-quality food production.
  • Act as the Kitchen Manager on Duty in the absence of the Kitchen Manager, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining high standards.
  • Fulfill cooking positions as needed, and participate in regular line checks to guarantee consistency and quality.
  • Lead expediting during peak business periods, ensuring efficient service and maintaining a positive atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to guide and mentor hourly team members, promoting growth and development within the team.
Requirements
  • Certification in food handling and alcohol service requirements, such as Serve Safe.
  • Proven experience working in the restaurant industry, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and team management.
  • Self-motivated, positive, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong understanding of teamwork and ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Skilled at identifying and fostering the growth of emerging talent within the team.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Bilingualism is a plus, with the ability to converse in Spanish at a sufficient level to instruct ESL Spanish staff members.
