Key Responsibilities of a Project Engineer:
  • Administration of general contracts and subcontracts
  • Monitoring and documenting job site safety and accident prevention measures
  • Scheduling construction activities
  • Procurement and expediting of materials and equipment
  • Processing Requests for Information (RFIs)
    • Receive
    • Review
    • Submit
    • Log
  • Reviewing and coordinating shop drawings and submittals
  • Conducting project cost reviews, reporting, updates, and accounting
  • Evaluating subcontractor applications for payment
  • Participating in and documenting project coordination meetings
  • Supervising and coordinating field installations by subcontractors
  • Reviewing and negotiating change proposal pricing from subcontractors
  • Preparing change proposals
  • Documenting change orders and maintaining associated cost reports
  • Researching and recommending construction methods, means, and equipment
  • Ensuring quality control
  • Facilitating project closeout
  • Implementing applicable safety programs and EEO/Affirmative Action initiatives on the project
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Engineering, or a related field
  • Internship experience in building and construction management
  • Experience with OSHA site safety
  • Proficiency in modern technology and excellent communication skills
  • General understanding of construction principles and practices
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork and company growth
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
  • Familiarity with project management processes and software (Microsoft Office and SAGE 300 CRE)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour training
