Job Title: Staff Civil/Process Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

We're looking for a self-motivated design engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater/recycled water facilities design and construction support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and mechanical engineering, excellent technical writing skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise to our team of engineers.
  • Design and construction support for water/wastewater treatment plants, stormwater systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations.
  • Assist in creation of construction documents and specifications.
  • Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment.
  • Engage with clients to support needs and provide solutions.
  • Coordinate execution of projects with other engineering disciplines and office personnel.
  • Develop design projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water/wastewater systems for clients.
  • Create cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis and use design software to solve complex challenges.
  • Interact with and oversee the work of CAD staff.
  • Use Arcadis standards and specifications for water/wastewater design and construction projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater/recycled water facilities design and construction support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current PE License in Ohio, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • Task Lead, Task Manager, or Design Lead experience on water/wastewater projects of various sizes.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $70,800 - $106,200. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
