About the Role

Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Process Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Akron, OH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations, as well as preparing and supporting the preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations to support project development and implementation.
  • Prepare and support the preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Provide technical support for regional business development activities, including face-to-face client interactions, site visits, and technical training for client staff.
  • Interact and correspond with clients, local and remote Arcadis staff, permitting agencies, and other consulting firms in the execution of engineering projects.
  • Gather information, develop and evaluate alternatives, and prepare engineering reports.
  • Establish design criteria, perform design calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, and develop detailed drawing designs for full documentation of the design.
  • Provide engineering services during project construction phase, including reviewing contractor equipment submittals, shop drawings, and responding to contractor requests for information.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and work ethic.
  • Self-motivated, and team-oriented, with the ability to work successfully both independently and within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for leading and/or working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Flexible attitude towards assignments, with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.
  • Ability to balance and address new challenges as they arise.
  • Familiarity/experience with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering degree.
  • Current, valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Our salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000, and actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
