We are seeking an experienced Boiler Process Engineer to join our team at Babcock & Wilcox. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing efficient steam generation systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed thermo fluid design analysis on utility and industrial steam generation systems
  • Lead boiler process engineering efforts on proposals, studies, and contracts
  • Prepare drawings, documents, and visual aids to support other departments
  • Design economical and efficient steam generation systems, including required auxiliary equipment, to meet project requirements
  • Complete ASME Section I code calculations for headers, tubing, and piping during proposals and prepare pressure part packages used to obtain material costs
  • Perform basic design tasks and author routine technical reports
  • Participate in engineering of routine OEM and Service contracts and proposals
  • Perform engineering studies and present designs in design review meetings
  • Interact with external customers, A/Es, vendors, and/or sublet engineers
  • Partner with others within the same discipline
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program required
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience with power plant products/technology preferred
  • Must be proficient in thermal fluid sciences and/or process engineering
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group environment
