Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Prevailing Wage Compliance Specialist to lead a team providing prevailing wage support to multiple teams overseeing completion of a construction project. This individual will serve as a key liaison between the Finance department and the project team.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will supervise prevailing wage departmental staff to ensure efficient and effective departmental performance, including:

  • Supervising the processes related to prevailing wage reporting and compliance to ensure timely and accurate completion of activities.
  • Managing daily workflow activity.
  • Ensuring compliance with all reporting and contract requirements as it applies to prevailing wage.
  • Utilizing performance and operational metrics to manage work and identify areas of improvement.
  • Effectively escalating issues with clear understanding and applicable constraints with a proposed resolution path.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience in project accounting. Professional certification is highly preferred. A minimum of seven years of related experience is required, with experience with Prevailing Wage and LCP Tracker being a plus.
