Payroll Specialist

At Aston Carter, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Associate to join our team. As a Payroll Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate completion of weekly payroll for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for approximately 150+ employees.
- Ensure the accuracy and availability of payroll reports and backup.
- Maintain employee benefit tracking spreadsheets and determine calculation of PW-COP employer rate.
- Enter prevailing wage schedules into the COINS system and identify the correct rate for each prevailing wage job.
- Submit certified payroll reports weekly for the previous week's work and maintain certified payroll tracking spreadsheets.
- Maintain correspondences with employees, prime contractors, and government contacts regarding payroll and certified payroll reports.
- Monitor email and respond to/resolve each item in a timely manner.
- Resolve any discrepancies on payroll or certified payroll reports.
- Support HR with onboarding of new hires and assist with EEO reporting guidelines.
- Assist with recruiting efforts and yearly benefit enrollment.
- 2+ years of Payroll experience.
- Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll knowledge.
