Position Overview:

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider, specifically a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to enhance our healthcare services. This part-time role (0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week) is situated at our outpatient clinic, dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals with specific health needs.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary starting at $107,598 with a midpoint of $137,113. Salary is based on total relevant experience and is prorated for part-time work.

About the Role:

The Advanced Practice Provider will operate within a collaborative healthcare environment, focusing on comprehensive care for patients living with HIV and those seeking preventative services. This role involves:
  • Evaluating and managing primary care needs.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including case managers and behavioral health providers.
  • Providing consultative care for HIV preventative services.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for patients.
  • Performing both invasive and non-invasive procedures as necessary.
  • Documenting patient care accurately and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Providing health education to patients and families.
  • Acting as a resource for nursing and medical staff.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • A degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing or Physician Assistant program.
  • Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in New Mexico.
  • Prescriptive authority and federal DEA certification.
  • BLS certification and, if applicable, ACLS or PALS certification.
