Clinical Nurse Specialist Job Overview
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is tasked with delivering age-appropriate care to a specific cohort of patients utilizing the nursing methodology. This role involves collaboration with healthcare team members to streamline procedures and treatments, showcasing leadership capabilities and clinical acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient interviews and evaluations
- Assess psychosocial health conditions
- Formulate patient outcomes and objectives
- Execute and document care plans
- Work in conjunction with care team members
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions
- Educate patients and their families
- Perform additional duties as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School
- Valid License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience in Cardiac care, including stress testing
- Telehealth nursing experience
- Minimum of one year in critical care settings
