Role Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting reconciliation analysis across various general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, preparing necessary federal, state, and municipal filings, and executing essential accounting maintenance tasks.

Compensation: Starting at $24.75/hour, with potential for higher based on experience.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities

- Oversee, document, and track fixed asset and depreciation activities while reconciling to general accounts to ensure precise accounting and reporting; liaise with relevant bank personnel to investigate and rectify discrepancies; prepare property tax returns and government surveys related to fixed assets.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger activities in assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accurate transaction recording, including assets, capital leases, notes payable, expense reserves, various liabilities, shareholder equity, and other accounts.
- Maintain and develop project-in-process spreadsheets, reconciling balances to general ledger accounts; analyze and document appropriate expense treatments for project expenditures; communicate project status to relevant bank personnel; ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Prepare sales tax returns, business license renewals, regulatory assessments, and other federal, state, and municipal filings for management review and approval; serve as a backup for various accounting functions while adhering to the segregation of duties as outlined in the bank's internal controls.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
To succeed in this role, candidates must effectively perform each essential duty. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Education and Experience:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance-related field, or four years of relevant accounting or financial industry experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Experience in fixed assets accounting is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in typing at least 35 wpm and operating a 10-key calculator by touch is required. Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software is essential.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, general business publications, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Competence in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from management and bank employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Familiarity with basic algebra concepts is necessary.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capability to perform a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage several abstract variables.
