As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role as a patient advocate by demonstrating high standards of performance and effectively communicating with patients to meet their needs for service. You will assist registered nurses in direct patient care, focusing on activities of daily living. Your responsibility will be to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation, monitoring, interaction, and participation in groups.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in social sciences or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Experience working with mentally ill and developmentally delayed clients.
- Excellent written skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- C.N.A. certification is preferred; a 2% pay differential is available for applicants who maintain an active C.N.A. license.
