Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Commercial Litigation/Insurance Defense team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end, and representing clients in a wide range of commercial litigation/insurance defense disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
  • Represent clients in commercial litigation/insurance defense disputes
  • Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
  • Communicate with clients and provide timely reporting on case status
  • Develop strategies tailored to each client's unique situation to achieve successful outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with team members and partners to develop effective litigation strategies
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs, and manage discovery
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in the State Bar
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation/insurance defense, with a particular focus on first/third party property, trucking, premises liability, and construction defect cases
  • Proven background in courtroom, deposition, and mediation experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and effectively
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving favorable settlements for clients
  • Ability to work independently and manage a substantial caseload
  • High level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment
  • Proficient in MS Office and legal research platforms
