Job Summary:

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. As a critical member of our LANDMARK AOS program, you will provide specialized engineering expertise supporting the acquisition of multi-intelligence (multi-INT) software services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise thought leadership and practical engineering application by leveraging extensive Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering experiences to build digital models.
  • Use knowledge of systems engineering processes, methods, tools, SysML and program roles to help develop, implement, and deploy Digital Engineering solutions and services.
  • Capture stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of digital solutions, and enhance the digital engineering culture for the customer's System Engineering Group.
  • Engage with other systems engineers directly supporting programs and foster broader understanding of modeling and assist them in developing digital work products.
  • Participate in and contribute to technical and programmatic interchanges; identify and resolve issues; and provide engineering and technical advice to the customer to achieve innovative capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, science, or related discipline and nine (9) years or more experience; master's and seven (7) years or more experience.
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience using enterprise modeling tools to model complex systems using SysML and UAF.
  • Broad systems engineering experience (e.g. system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements, CONOPS, systems verification).
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work.
  • Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high tempo environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OMG Certified System Modeling Professional (OSCMP).
  • Experience leading SE teams through all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle using Digital Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience or familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework Environment (SAFe).
  • Experience or familiarity with administration of Model Based Engineering tools.
  • Broad Model Based Engineering Applications and Technology background (i.e. tools, OSLC, internet of things, etc.).
