Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator I to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key elements of clinical research studies to meet protocol obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical research studies as outlined in the study protocol, ensuring subject safety throughout the study.
  • Discern critical elements of the protocol and adhere to good clinical practices.
  • Follow existing workflows for specimen handling, tracking, and sample processing, while following CAP/CLIA laboratory guidelines.
  • Perform systematic data collection and entry into data management systems.
  • Identify study implementation and/or study management issues and work with the study team to develop and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Educate other study personnel on study responsibilities and maintain written documentation of this training.
  • Assist the Principal Investigator and Clinical Genomics Research team in data preparation for scientific publications, presentations, and grant proposals.
  • Perform other duties and maintain a flexible schedule as required by a protocol or unit needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science, health, or clinical research-related field.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and genetics preferred.
  • CRA/CRC certification preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high-level organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Positive attitude/team player.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Desire to learn and contribute to cutting-edge pediatric research.
