Job Summary

Penn Life Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician to join their team. As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for testing, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation and controls to ensure accuracy and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine calibrations of instrumentation and controls
  • Identify and correct measurement errors
  • Replace instrumentation and controls as needed
  • Provide input and support for the design, installation, and upgrade of instrumentation and control systems
  • Develop and/or revise calibration procedures and job plans
  • Maintain instruments, standards, and tools
  • Assist supervision with the assigning, scheduling, and prioritization of work order requests
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or diploma from a vocational school or college
  • Specialization in electronics and instrumentation and electrical field
  • Ability to work with other technicians
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Must be highly self-motivated and a self-starter
  • Experience/aptitude, ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Ability to work all days and shifts, including overtime
  • Ability to acquire and sustain gown qualification for clean room environments
  • Automated control for equipment operation
  • GMP experience working in a pharmaceutical facility or equivalent experience in a regulated industry
  • Experience working within a computerized maintenance management system or a computerized calibration management system
  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading
  • Calibration of instruments

The Calibration Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of skilled technicians. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
