We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Manager with electrical expertise to join our team at Facility Solutions Group, Inc. as a key member of our solar project management team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage solar projects, focusing on electrical aspects, from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients to meet project objectives.
- Ensure successful project completion within established timelines and budget constraints by closely monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments.
- Travel to project sites within the Tri-State Area as required to oversee installations, troubleshoot issues, and provide on-site support.
- Continually enhance customer relationships throughout the project implementation phase.
- Develop comprehensive project staffing plans, including labor, subcontractors, project managers, and project engineers.
- Act as the primary liaison between local facility staff and regional team members, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor, control, and report on the financial performance of projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Secure subcontractor relationships and manage subcontractors and the FSG project execution team effectively.
- Audit and design quality assurance and control procedures to mitigate project risks and ensure high-quality installations.
- Manage, motivate, and continuously improve assigned staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Oversee participation in all aspects of job site safety and ensure adherence to OSHA standards.
- Proven experience as an electrician, with a specific focus on solar installations.
- Familiarity with solar project management and industry best practices.
- Willingness to travel nationally and extensively within the Tri-State Area.
- At least five years of field experience in Project Management, Project Engineering, or related field.
- A bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering, project management, or business is preferred.
- Equivalent field experience (associate degree + 8 years of field experience) will also be considered.
- Experience and up-to-date knowledge of best practices related to Lighting Retrofit and Utility Savings projects are preferred.
- Experience working with local vendors and subcontractors is highly preferred.
- Financial planning and budget experience, with the ability to develop a business case.
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills and a professional presence.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
