Job Title: Part-Time Spanish GED Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Part-Time Spanish GED Teacher to join our team at the Syracuse City School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Spanish language and literacy skills to students preparing for the GED exam.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in teaching Spanish language and literacy.

Qualifications:

  • NYS Teacher Certification.
  • Expertise in reading, writing, and oral language skills in Spanish.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience teaching urban populations.

Salary and Benefits:

$31.67 per hour, 2 nights per week with option to work summer school.
