About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Biller - Insurance A/R Specialist to join our team at Southwest Dermatology & Vein. As a Medical Biller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical billing process, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely claims submission.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely claims submission
- Manage and resolve rejected or denied claims
- Stay up-to-date on CPT, ICD, and LCD guidelines
- Review and code medical charts
- Verify patient insurance information and obtain prior authorizations
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Work to reduce backlog of unpaid claims
- Analyze EOBs and ERAs
- Post payments accurately
- Maintain HIPAA patient confidentiality standards
Requirements:
- 1 year of medical billing experience
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD, and LCD guidelines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Competency with Microsoft Office and G Suite
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Adaptability to changes in processes and procedures
- Understanding of insurance plans and basic accounting
- Knowledge of the medical claims billing cycle and HCFA1500 forms
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate of $17.00
- Full-time position with benefits, including 401(k), dental insurance, employee discount, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance
- Day shift, Monday to Friday schedule
