Medical Biller - Insurance A/R Specialist

Southwest Dermatology & Vein is seeking a highly skilled Medical Biller - Insurance A/R Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims, managing denials and appeals, and maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Process and submit electronic claims, including appeals and denials
  • Stay up-to-date on CPT, ICD, and LCD guidelines to ensure accurate coding and billing
  • Review and analyze EOBs and ERAs to identify and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
  • Work collaboratively with our team to reduce backlog of unpaid claims and improve revenue cycle efficiency
Requirements:
  • 1 year of medical billing experience, preferably in a dermatology office
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD, and LCD guidelines, as well as HCFA1500 forms and HCPCs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Certification in medical billing (CPC, CBCS, or CCA) a plus
