The ideal candidate will thrive in a clean and professional atmosphere, receiving on-the-job training to navigate our facilities. Previous handyman or contracting experience is preferred, but reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a building maintenance contractor, your duties will include:
- Performing light carpentry tasks.
- Assisting with furniture relocation.
- Conducting minor plumbing repairs.
- Handling basic electrical work.
- Executing weather stripping installations.
- Carrying out masonry repairs.
- Completing various painting tasks.
- Managing flooring repairs.
- Conducting drywall patching.
- Repairing doors and windows.
- Replacing ceiling tiles.
It is crucial to maintain clean and organized maintenance areas and equipment, and to arrive punctually, ready to fulfill your duties.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Experience in handyman or contracting work is necessary.
- Availability for full-time hours, Monday through Friday.
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.
- Reliability and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to follow instructions and listen to customer requests.
- Adherence to specific COVID protocols as required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Possession of personal tools and equipment is necessary.
- A vehicle is required for transportation.
- Capability to perform light electrical and plumbing tasks.
The physical demands of this role include walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 35 lbs. while utilizing maintenance equipment and supplies.
