We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician in the Wattsburg Area School District.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations in our schools and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as basic knowledge of carpentry and general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs and installations.
  • Assist with ventilation maintenance and repair.
  • Carry out painting and floor repair as needed.
  • Clean and maintain the shop area to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

This position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions. The maintenance person may be exposed to chemicals and hazardous materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
