The Paint Production Supervisor will oversee the paint department, ensuring adherence to production quality and safety protocols. This role involves supervising and assessing staff performance, while also managing operational processes and procedures. The supervisor will report directly to the Production Manager regarding production metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), holding employees accountable as necessary.
- Conduct departmental meetings to discuss daily and weekly work plans, key performance indicators (KPI), and strategies for continuous improvement.
- Supervise, manage, and evaluate the performance of production staff.
- Drive process management within the department, taking responsibility for outcomes.
- Organize workflow to meet production timelines and deadlines, effectively communicating any issues to management.
- Monitor production processes to identify and resolve issues, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Report production activities and results to upper management.
- Provide support, training, and guidance in inventory management within the department.
- Offer suggestions to upper management for enhancing operational efficiency.
- Oversee training and evaluation processes for departmental staff.
- Assign tasks to employees as necessary.
- Conduct written annual performance evaluations for team members.
