Job Summary:

At Tyson Foods Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Controller II to join our team. This role will be responsible for the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions of our plant-manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting systems. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and collaborate with plant operations to improve the total cost of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis systems to support plant operations.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP).
Accounting and Reporting:
  • Manage the plant accounting staff and oversee the local accounting functions, including production accounting and payroll.
  • Ensure accuracy in product costs, production costs, and manufacturing variances.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals.
  • Collaborate with plant operations to improve the total cost of operations.
  • Develop and implement key controls for SOX compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
