Position Overview
As a member of our Accounting/Finance team, you will typically commence your career in various locations. The specific job description and responsibilities will depend on your initial assignment.

The Finance division has openings in Financial and Commercial Services, Financial and Performance Analysis, Treasury, and Audit. You may qualify for a flexible hybrid work program designed to offer employees the convenience of remote work while retaining the benefits of in-person collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties may encompass:
- Delivering accounting, business analysis, and decision-making support to operations and management.
- Engaging in revenue, cost, or investment accounting, government reporting, and collaborating with other firms on crude, gas, or product imbalances and exchanges.
- Conducting internal audits, management reporting, analysis, and credit administration.

During your initial year, you will participate in the Finance Onboarding Program, tailored to acclimate new hires to our company culture. This program includes brief training sessions led by seasoned Finance professionals, introducing concepts of upstream oil and gas operations and providing insights into ConocoPhillips' unique strategy. The curriculum offers an overview of career development concepts and early career training, fostering a team-oriented environment and establishing initial networks.

After gaining a minimum of one year of experience in a Finance role, you will be eligible to self-nominate for the Employee Development Program. This initiative is designed to enhance your understanding of ConocoPhillips and the energy sector while accelerating the development of skills in leadership, communication, change management, and networking. Exposure to emerging technologies and the innovation lifecycle is a vital aspect of this program.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • Current academic standing: Senior or Graduate Student.
  • Expected graduation timeframe: Fall 2024 through Spring/Fall 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of at least 9 hours of Accounting coursework upon graduation.
  • Willingness to work in designated locations.
  • A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to build strong relationships based on trust and seek collaborative opportunities across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ownership of actions and commitment to accountability.
  • Understanding of how key financial and quantitative indicators influence the business.
  • Ability to employ innovative tools and approaches to problem-solving and process improvement.
