Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Palliative Care team at St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. As a member of our team, you will work closely with a supportive team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with serious illnesses, focusing on symptom management, pain control, and improving quality of life.
- Collaborate with palliative care physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide ongoing care to patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and other team meetings to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) License by the MT State Board.
- Prescriptive Authority by the MT state board of Nursing or Medical Examiners and DEA License.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS Certification within 6 months of employment (site specific).
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process.
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including Microsoft products.
- Passion for Palliative Care.
- Experience in Palliative Care, Hospice, inpatient care, or related specialty required.
