Your Role:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Health and Safety Specialist to deliver health and safety support on environmental investigation and remediation initiatives, as well as to assist projects for commercial clients. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens due to client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand our current client base for health and safety services and enhance our offerings to both existing and new clients.
Maintain and enhance your knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, focusing on federal OSHA standards.
- Design and conduct employee health and safety training sessions.
- Provide technical expertise and support for assigned projects, including the preparation and review of project-specific Accident Prevention Plans and Site Safety and Health Plans, along with occasional onsite health and safety assistance.
- Additional responsibilities include developing and updating health and safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting health and safety training, evaluating subcontractor health and safety qualifications, and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER training, including appropriate annual refresher courses.
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Chemistry, Toxicology, or a related field is required (Master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in safety and health.
- Previous military experience or work within the Department of Defense is strongly preferred.
- Background checks may be required for certain positions.
