Job Overview

Important Note:

· All applicants must possess valid work authorization in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

· Training duration is between 2 to 2 1⁄2 weeks, depending on the pace of learning. Training hours will be from 8am to 5pm Alaska Time Zone.

· Full attendance during training is mandatory.

· Minimum internet requirements include download speeds of 50mbps and upload speeds of 5mbps. It is recommended to have 80mbps or higher if multiple users are on the same network. 50mbps is the baseline bandwidth necessary for remote work.

Position Summary:



Publication Coordinators play a crucial role in researching, editing, and proofreading medical billing policies for inclusion in various documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications.

• They collaborate with the Training team to develop internal and external training materials, updating them quarterly.

• They also engage with internal teams to create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• The Publication Coordinators are responsible for developing and distributing communications to members, providers, and clients once approved by leadership and/or clients.

• They create and publish communications for members and providers on the web portal.

• They will assist in the creation of newsletters, maintain a log of communications, and provide monthly updates to leadership and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aids in researching, editing, and proofreading medical billing policies for documents intended for public and client stakeholders.

• Collaborates with both technical and non-technical personnel to refine draft materials.

Utilizes various resources to gather and research existing documentation for reference in creating drafted materials.

• Manages multiple projects with varying deadlines and escalates issues promptly.

• Participates in meetings with clients and stakeholders, contributing to project development.

• Monitors communications and reports on activities monthly.

Basic Qualifications:



Minimum of two years of experience in technical writing or publication roles.

Familiarity with industry writing styles, including grammar, sentence structure, and format.

• Proficient in desktop publishing, word processing, and online documentation software.

• Strong communication skills for interaction with peers, leadership, and clients, along with proofreading and editing abilities.

• Capable of translating technical knowledge into easily understandable language.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Adaptability to process changes is essential.
