Library Collections Specialist VI

Princeton University Library is seeking a highly skilled Library Collections Specialist VI to join our team. As a key member of our collections services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the acquisition, maintenance, and dissemination of library materials.
Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development and implementation of collections services strategies and initiatives.
- Supervise public services in the late afternoon and early evening, providing exceptional customer service and troubleshooting issues.
- Organize and process faculty course reserve requests, ensuring seamless access to library resources.
- Assist in managing the public services student staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Serve as outreach and exhibits coordinator, promoting the Music Library's services and resources to the community.
- Scan print materials for reserves and document delivery services, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Minimum of three years of library experience or equivalent, with demonstrated ability to manage collections and circulation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and projects effectively.
- Supervisory experience.
- Ability to read music and recognize different types of notation, familiarity with music history and theory, and knowledge of forms, genres, and instruments corresponding to specific time periods and/or locations.
- Familiarity with Alma or other ILS systems, OCLC, and other major bibliographic databases.
- Facility with email, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office applications, along with a willingness to learn new technology.
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment.
- Physical requirements include bending and stretching, lifting books, and moving large book trucks.
- High School diploma or GED.
