Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Bill's Towing and Recovery. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer payments. Your main duty will be to answer a multi-line phone and dispatch drivers using common sense and logistics. You will review account information, correct errors, create invoices, and perform other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong mathematical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Process and accurately record transactions
  • Maintain detailed records of payments and account statuses
  • Send reminders regarding overdue payments
  • Research account discrepancies and take appropriate action for resolution
  • Create accurate and informative reports
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather information, ensure accounts are up-to-date, and develop repayment plans
  • Communicate with clients regarding payments on their accounts
  • Answer telephone calls with multiple lines
  • Dispatch drivers
  • Use software applications for dispatching
  • Collect payments and reconcile accounts
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar position
  • Previous dispatching experience
  • Knowledge of vehicles is a must
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Quickbooks
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and research skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player
  • Customer Service skills are a must
  • Minimum typing speed of 75 WPM
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience.
