Overview of the Helper Role:

As a Helper, you will play a vital role in assisting skilled workers on exciting new construction or maintenance projects. Engage in a variety of tasks while collaborating with experienced professionals, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the industry. Safety is of utmost importance in this position, as your efforts directly influence the well-being of our team members and the community.

Compensation for Helpers:
  • $22-$24/hour
  • Paid WEEKLY
Key Responsibilities of the Helper:
  • Assist in setting up equipment using manual or mechanical methods.
  • Load, transport, unload, and supply skilled workers with necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and replenish supplies as required.
  • Support in lifting, positioning, and securing tools and equipment used by journeymen.
  • Adhere to company safety and quality assurance programs, as well as OSHA regulations.
  • Availability for overtime and consistent, punctual attendance is essential.
Qualifications for Helpers:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Prior on-site training in a construction environment is necessary.
  • Familiarity with hand tools relevant to specific tasks or crafts is required.
Physical Requirements for Helpers:
  • Must be capable of lifting over 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolds, and other structures while carrying tools and equipment.
  • Must have the stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Must possess the ability to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects using arms and hands.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks of short duration following established procedures.
  • Must be able to endure temperature variations, loud noises, a dusty work environment, and exposure to high voltage electromagnetic fields.
This position is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
