Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Lens Studio team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the technical and organizational roadmap for the engineering team working on our proprietary AR platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the technical and organizational roadmap for the engineering team working on our proprietary AR platform
  • Wield your extensive experience with C++, game/AR engine architectures to help the team design and deliver performant, low-maintenance systems
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and evaluate tradeoffs to maintain our leadership position in AR and ML
  • Integrate generative technologies that give creators super-powers
  • Balance near, medium and long-term objectives to achieve business goals today while laying the foundations for extensibility and scale tomorrow
  • Iterate quickly without compromising quality and raise the bar on operational excellence
  • Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders
  • Create growth opportunities, give regular feedback, promote talent, manage performance
Requirements
  • Knowledge of game engine design patterns
  • Strong computer science fundamentals
  • Expertise in modern C++
  • Solid understanding of generative ML workflows, like ComfyUI, and other ML technologies which are democratizing complex creation processes in this and similar fields
  • Strong product sense
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence and convey messages to a wide range of stakeholders
Qualifications
  • BS/BA in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience
  • 11+ years of experience working in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing teams of high performing software engineers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience making critical decisions for complex technical issues in real-time, considering timelines and urgency
  • Experience working with a diverse group of engineers

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
