Position Overview: Technicians play a crucial role in managing systems and ensuring a steady supply of chemicals and gases within a semiconductor manufacturing facility that produces components for electronic devices such as smartphones, LEDs, and flat-screen televisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely handle and replace gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on chemical and gas equipment.
  • Utilize computer systems to facilitate job functions and meet customer requirements.
  • Support quality assurance systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be clean-shaven; no facial hair is permitted.
  • Ability to walk up to 5 or 6 miles daily.
  • Occasional climbing of tanker trucks (18-wheelers) with fall protection to off-load chemicals.
  • May need to wear a Supplied Air Respirator while handling chemicals.
  • Basic lifting capability (up to 40 lbs).
  • Ability to bend and reach overhead.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided includes safety glasses, hard hats, earplugs, chemical aprons, and gloves.
  • Safety boots must be worn, with a voucher provided for purchase.
  • A Fit for Duty Evaluation is required prior to starting and annually thereafter, including a Pulmonary Function Test, audiogram baseline, and physical examination.
  • Completion of hazardous communication training (Right to Know) is mandatory before commencing work.

Candidate Profile:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in maintenance, equipment technology, or mechanical/electronic environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with chemical and gas distribution systems is beneficial but not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Military training is valued.
  • Strong technical skills and aptitude.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
