The Town of Castle Rock offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 annually for the position of Special Programs and Events Coordinator.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Parks and Recreation team as a Special Programs and Events Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing special events and programs throughout the year, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate event logistics, including setup, breakdown, transportation, and equipment.
  • Oversee the deployment of resources such as staff, signage, and supplies to ensure a successful event experience.
  • Work closely with event organizers, vendors, and stakeholders to confirm schedules, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain an annual special programs plan that includes diverse activities and promotes community engagement.
  • Serve on the Town's special events committee and provide input on event planning and execution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, recreation, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning, coordination, and/or operations, preferably in a public sector environment.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid/AED certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license.

  • May work outdoors in various weather conditions during events.
