Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in the NICU, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to newborns in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds and provide education to patients and their families.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the US.
  • At least two years of concurrent full-time Level III NICU experience within the last three years.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
