Harris Kocher Smith is a reputable, multi-disciplinary consulting firm specializing in civil engineering, land surveying, and subsurface utility engineering. We provide extensive design services to a diverse range of private and public sector clients.

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer or Manager in Land Development to guide our new office. In this role, you will manage multiple land development projects, ensuring client satisfaction and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop a skilled team of engineers and designers
  • Oversee all project management tasks, including reporting and client invoicing
  • Anticipate future workload, staffing needs, and project budgets
  • Assist in strategic marketing and proposal generation
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in land development design and methodologies
  • Coordinate effectively with team members, consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies

Qualifications

  • Must possess Arizona P.E. certification
  • Willingness to conduct site visits
  • At least 4 years of experience managing site development projects independently

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expertise in all key technical aspects of Land Development Engineering
  • Ability to interpret and analyze regulations and procedures from public agencies
  • Strong command of AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, CUHP, and SWMM software
  • Capable of guiding engineers in the effective use of software tools
  • Experience in Construction Administration is preferred
  • Familiarity with local market conditions is advantageous
  • Experience in both single and multi-family residential development is preferred

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $200,000 annually, commensurate with skills and experience.
