Job Summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a full-time Adult Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the growth of our Discharge Ready Unit (DRU). This role will involve rounding on patients, handling discharges and internal transfers, and working collaboratively with a robust support team.

Responsibilities
  • Rounding on patients and handling discharges and internal transfers
  • Working collaboratively with a robust support team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
  • Providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a culture of healing and caring
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree or higher in Nursing, or in a field deemed to be equivalent by the Oregon Board of Nursing
  • Physician Assistant: Graduation from a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
  • At least 12 months relevant experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a hospital setting
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or the Oregon State Board of Nursing
