Position Overview

AECOM is currently seeking a Sustainability Project Coordinator for a role in Rocky Hill, CT.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and reviewing documents, reports, presentations, and technical memoranda, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical soundness.
  • Evaluating design plans for potential environmental effects.
  • Engaging with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
  • Conducting site assessments for natural and water resources.
  • Performing inspections on active construction sites to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and permits.
  • Preparing planning and engineering studies, reports, and permit applications, focusing on compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Connecticut Environmental Policy Act (CEPA), and evaluations of natural and water resources.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License, with successful completion of AECOM's motor vehicle records review as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in utility and transportation projects is highly advantageous, along with a foundational understanding of environmental permitting processes.
  • Two years of experience with NEPA and water or natural resource analysis and permitting.
  • Familiarity with Federal and State of CT regulatory frameworks for water and natural resources.
  • Two years of experience in NEPA review processes and spatial resource analysis.
  • Willingness and capability to oversee construction for compliance with environmental regulations.
