Job Summary:

Hilco Vision is searching for a Senior Accountant to perform internal control duties and record journal entries for financial activities of the organization. The Senior Accountant will ensure the month-end close process is completed accurately and within deadlines. The role will also provide support for reporting and respond to questions related to areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Enter journal entries, including accruals, as needed to properly record business transactions; prepare detailed expense schedules for P&L accounts and complete monthly account reconciliations for Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare Bruder Healthcare financials and submit for review as part of the month-end process. Share financials as appropriate with members of the local management team. Support local management and the Divisional Controller with weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Accounts Receivable: Ensure revenue recognition is done correctly, all invoices are billed in the period, customer and third-party websites billing is correct, and payments are accurately applied. AR Aging is maintained and published weekly. Make collection calls.
  • Accounts Payable: Enter vendor invoices with proper approvals, maintain vendor relationships, ensure payments are made timely, create and submit payment runs weekly, maintain and publish the AP Aging weekly. Ensure credit card spending is substantiated according to guidelines and submitted timely.
  • Financial Operations: Reconcile the bank account daily and submit reporting to Corporate. Maintain fixed assets and capital projects for the organization according to US GAAP. Manage and review Concur spending for the facility. Complete other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 3 - 4 years of experience in a General Ledger Accountant position.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts such as account reconciliations, amortization, and accruals.
  • Ability to track transactions through the system.
  • Capable of using multiple information systems and reconciling information between them.
  • Experience with actual versus forecast reporting and how to explain variances.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (required); M3, Concur, and Planful experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills; pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
