About the Role

Gray Television, Inc. is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented bilingual interns to join our team in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Job Summary

This internship provides a unique opportunity for students enrolled in a HETS-affiliated school to gain hands-on experience in producing, shooting, and editing skills while contributing to Spanish-speaking Gray Television outlets.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating content for digital properties
  • Train with digital producers to produce/write/edit for KFVS digital properties
  • Work with photojournalists to learn camera operation basics
  • Shadow Multi-Media Journalists to learn how to shoot/write/edit news stories for broadcast and/or streaming
  • Translate relevant stories from English to Spanish for digital properties
Requirements
  • Meet enrollment criteria of being a junior or senior at a HETS partner University
  • Proficient in English and Spanish
  • Enrolled in a HETS-affiliated school
Benefits

The intern rate of pay can range from minimum wage in your state to $15 an hour.
