Mobile Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Freightliner Northwest. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting on-road and customer on-site maintenance services by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy duty equipment.
Responsibilities:- Run diagnostic tests and analyze results.
- Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differential, A/C and suspensions.
- Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.
- Able to read schematics for electrical and air systems.
- Develop technical skills through training opportunities.
- Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the mobile service truck.
Heavy equipment dealership experience is helpful in this job role; two years or more preferred. Three years of actual truck repair experience needed. Bring your strong mechanical aptitude, team player mentality and belief in safety first to Team Freightliner Northwest
Compensation
Based upon level of skill and experience, hourly compensation is $20.00 to $30.00. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available.
