Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the City of Commerce City, CO. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the city's buildings and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on City buildings, including interior and exterior tasks.
  • Work with plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal building performance and safety.
  • Manage complex electronic control systems and troubleshoot low-voltage controls.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize assignments and complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least five years' experience in the construction trades or related field, including experience with HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic equipment and computer monitoring and control systems.
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance and safety practices, including principles and practices of building maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical instructions and operating manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
