Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician II to join our team at Smiths Detection. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic and mechanical systems in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical systems in the field, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support to customers, including training and guidance on the use of our equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall system performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and procedures to support field service operations.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or related trade certification in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in field service, electronics repair, or a related technical field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 1000 pounds, with or without assistance.
