Job Description

As an Environmental Health Specialist at R&D Partners, you will play a critical role in supporting compliant EHS programs across various departments. Your primary responsibility will be to integrate EHS programs into daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and achieving continuous performance improvement. You will partner with operations to develop objectives that align with site business goals and values. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership to ensure biological safety programs adhere to federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Your expertise will be essential in managing the day-to-day requirements and activities of the EHS incident management and reporting system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environment and safety laws, regulations, codes, and consensus standards.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training presentations.
  • Complete job hazard analysis (JHAs) and safety inspections, and assist with IH monitoring, incident investigations, and environmental reporting and permit compliance.
  • Manage hazardous and biohazardous waste, including proper handling, documentation, inspection, and transportation of regulated wastes.
  • Participate in EHS operational and tier discussions, safety committees, and teams, self-assessments, and audits.
  • Review processes, facilities, procedures, and management of change documents to ensure conformance to recognized EHS regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Support staff in completing injury/illness investigations, additional training, data analysis, and addressing specific concerns.
  • Participate in regulatory inspections and assist in addressing noted concerns and citations.
  • Review site data for the EHS reporting system (Enablon), identify data gaps, and generate output reports and dashboards using BI tools.
