Position Overview

This role involves overseeing terminal activities, which include the sorting, handling, loading, and unloading of freight. You will manage the daily tasks of dock personnel and ensure that all terminal operations adhere to both company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guarantee safe and efficient dock operations for all terminal personnel.
  • Monitor and assess dockworkers to ensure compliance with equipment usage and operational procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections to verify adherence to company policies and local, federal, and Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Provide education and training for both new and existing dockworkers on safety protocols, performance standards, customer service, and equipment handling.
  • Generate and analyze operational reports, offering suggestions for enhancements in terminal efficiency.
  • Ensure that all dockworkers maintain a safe and organized working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation and/or supervisory roles.
  • Fundamental knowledge of freight handling, hazardous materials, and Department of Transportation regulations.
Salary Range: $61,000 - $76,200.00 annually, based on experience. This position is eligible for bonuses.
